Out of Office, Out of Country, Out of Time
Well it's been about one year since I launched this blog, and it's also been almost one year since I have posted any new stories. I've been searching high and low, hoping to either come across an inspiring woman, or for an inspiring story to cross my path. I must admit that life in the past 8 months did get the best of me and I might have let some stories pass by, but I finally have my next story.
This post is in the form of a podcast where I interview one of my really close friends. The reason I chose this particular female is specifically because she has a unique perspective on America in the past year. Anna Grymes has spent the last year "out of office" and traveled the world collecting memories and experiences along the way. She and I originally met at our corporate job, where I am still employed, and we immediately became fast friends. Not long after our friendship began, I quickly learned of Anna's true desire, to escape the cubicle and turn travel into her life's work. And that is exactly what she eventually did!
Here I interview Anna about her year of travel and hopefully inspire other women (and men) early enough in their lives to find the courage and conviction to pursue what they truly want. But we also switch gears and talk about the topics that have been ruling the headlines in America lately. I get Anna's thoughts on the "Me Too" movement and how America has evolved, or perhaps devolved, since she left in early 2017. You will hear both Anna's and my thoughts on these topics and hopefully it's not only compelling, but entertaining! Click the audio below to listen!
